We Christians adore a Christ who appears to be helpless and hopeless on the cross. For us who believe, we see in Jesus hanging on the cross the indefatigable and unfathomable love of God for us.
From being a symbol of death and hopelessness, the cross…

I’m not sure about all of you, but I was frazzled last night from the 12 hours of playoff action. It was almost too much. Almost. I actually started writing this after the games, but needed a little time to process everything that happened. Luckily, we only have two games tonight, Heat vs. Philly & Bulls vs. Indy. So, without further ado, here’s your All-Star team for Day Two of the Playoffs:
PG Chris Paul, Hornets: 33 Pts. 14 Asst., & 7 Rebs. Are you kidding me? Against the Lakers? Derrick who?SG Ray Allen, Celtics: “Only” 24 pts vs. Kobe having 34. One important factor to remember…Kobe’s team lost, Ray’s won, & Allen nailed the game winner. Still not convinced? Kobe was at home, against an overwhelming underdog, his matchup to start was a Euro-hipster & he hit his neck on a fan’s knee. All Ray did was stick a dagger in the Knicks’ back in the final 12 seconds. Then he twisted it.
SF Kevin Durant, Thunder: 41 pts & 9 boards vs. a nasty Denver team. Durant scored & scored at will in a win. This kid can play a little bit, huh? Lil’ bit, lil’ bit.
PF Zack Randolph, Memphis: Amar’e was considered(28 & 11), but Randolph’s 25/14 was HUGE. Plus, Amar’e was kidnapped the final few minutes of NY’s loss—no word on ransom yet—while the Grizz beat the Spurs. In case we have forgotten…winning>losing in the postseason.
C Marc Gasol, Memphis: I almost gave this to Amar’e, to make up form his snub at PF. He was a machine against Boston for a while & for all intent and purposes he is the Knicks center. I don’t want to hear about Ronnie Turiaf, please!! However, Amar’e not being a part of the Knicks offense at the end was fatal. Meanwhile, Marc, the much better Gasol brother, was 9/10 from the floor in a road win against Tim Duncan. If that’s not an All-Star performance at center, then I give up.
6th Man, Ray Felton, Denver. Ugh, jeez. A guy that I said would be disappointing in the playoffs was fantastic off the bench in a close loss. 12 pts. & 8 dimes in 33 mins is nice off the pine. I am vindicated only by the fact that he did it for Denver, not NY. No worries, Knicks fans,
Chauncey BillupsToney Douglas should be just fine…

Don’t get me wrong, the app is still far from perfect — and I think their team would be the first to say that. But when used as intended in an appropriate setting, it does work really well. I’m looking back at the Colors we took last weekend, and they’re great. It’s like a photo scrapbook that was really easy to make. I wish I had Color at parties when I was growing up, or in college, that I could look back on now.

“Heart and Soul”
This song strikes me as something that indie rockers should be ripping off. Very interesting dynamics and textures, strange textures. I love when songs sound like a couple different songs playing at once and it just happens to fit together perfectly.
